After adjusting/toggling the combat difficulty to easy and opening my mind I have now spent nine and a half hours playing tunic. I am seeing its internal logic and finding it charming. I have cleared the east forest and completed the first major task. I have gotten lamp, which feels like a shout out to Zork. I love that. I have collected enough pages (a shout out to Myst?) to decipher part of the power up system. I have begun to appreciate the glimpses of future goals/challenges that I don’t — yet — have the ability to achieve.

I am enjoying Tunic.
