Audio and slides of my (Johnson’s) paper from the Comics and the Multimodal World Conference, which took place at Douglas College, New Westminster, BC in June 2013, organised by Graphixia and The Comics Grid. My paper looks at a digital comic Chris Ware produced for the McSweeney’s iPad app, and examines its manipulation of the comics form and what this means for the future of comics in both physical and digital forms.
