These are “failure” states. Failure because they exhibit a behavior way outside the parameters I set. These actually crashed Hopscotch. I haven’t yet given myself the chance to judge them on their own visual merits. There are earlier states of this series that approach “pretty”, I saved one or two for each.
I set the sprite which traced the largest circumference to change its position somewhere inside the frame whenever it touches the edge. The straight lines that connect arcs are the visual evidence of this rule. Something weird happened that made it disappear, and the emanate from the top left corner. The weirdness is compounded by the fact that the origin point is the lower left corner. I don’t understand the mathematical logic that might cause this behavior. Some mysterious magic took over that sprite when it played too often on the edge.
