The Ecuador development report does not focus on juicing up economic growth, exploiting nature and privatizing public resources, but on the idea of bien vivir, or “good living.” The nation is self-consciously seeking to develop a paradigm change that focuses on a different “cosmovision” for “living life to the fullest.”
