Lego was voted the nation’s favourite toy on last night’s three-hour Channel 4 special.
The 100 Greatest Toys, presented by Jonathan Ross, gave the industry three-hours of pre-Christmas peak time exposure, as it counted down through 100 classic and current toys.
There was little surprise in Lego taking the top slot, followed by Monopoly. Dungeons and Dragons was the somewhat surprising third choice, possibly skewed by its fans’ preference for all things online.
Nintendo’s Wii and SNES were fourth and fifth respectively.
