I have wanted a la carte pricing for ever. My reasoning has been that I don’t watch the sports channels, and don’t want to pay for having them available to me. This will cut many ways, though. If all I want is the MHz channel and El Rey network, will I experience significant savings? Will my money actually go toward making niche networks more viable? Or will it reinforce a blockbuster logic that rewards the outrageously marketed?
