Graded my classes. Offered a five-day workshop at Anderson Ranch Arts Center on the basics of Videogame design in Scratch. Participated in Print Truth To Power at Matter Studio. Participated in letterpress printing workshops at Matter. Played as a first-reader for the inaugural issue of Game Poems magazine. Submitted Futura to Game Poems magazine. Received a Steam Deck for teaching and study of games. Began playing Sable on the Steam Deck. Revisited Decker, an application inspired by HyperCard. I also helped organize Dizzy Spell: Free Hors d’Oeuvres. I know I’m missing something.
Sable: is a beautiful game with character design and cell-shaded rendering reminiscent of the works by Moebius (sic?). It is an open world; coming of age; exploration game. It propels the player with fetch quests. (Synonyms for quest include mission, task, …) There is a system for spatial navigation that allows the player to isolate which quest they focus. Different NPCs offer different quests. I may have encountered a glitch in the accounting for the queen and her eggs quest.
Decker: I began to explore the browser-based version of Decker on my iPhone in Safari.
