The project is immensely ambitious (Fullerton is working with a sound designer who lives on site to record the sound of the lake across the seasons) and the funding low—even with a grant two years ago from the National Endowment for the Arts, and one last December from the National Endowment for the Humanities. But Fullerton is creating a new type of game, one that, according to the game’s website, “posits a new genre of play, in which reflection and insight play an important role in the player experience,” and she is committed to finishing it and releasing it to the public in the next year or so.
