I just read an article about science fiction and its relationship with “real science” and it was the most delightful thing. I mean come on, they talk about Star Trek and the X-Files, and prod at notions of masculinity that make (some) scientists terrified of “penetrative” influence from fanciful feminine fields like literature? Yes plsssss thank you for the alien probe joke at the end I enjoyed that too.
