SLEEP DEALER’S SECOND CHANCE | Rally.org
SLEEP DEALER is an independently produced Science Fiction film, set on the border between the US and Mexico after privatization of the State and of access to water. It is an excellent film that is getting a second chance at broad distribution. Please support it.
SLEEP DEALER is a feature-film set in Mexico in the near future. It tells the story of Memo Cruz as he struggles against a brave new border. The old trailer for the film is here: http://bit.ly/7TcSpR
SLEEP DEALER was my first feature film, it represents the love and hard work of many people, it won a few awards at Sundance – but it never properly made it to audiences.
Now’s our chance to change that.
The old distributor of the film went out of business and SLEEP DEALER almost became an ‘orphan film’ – lost in legal limbo.
But, miraculously, we got the rights back and Sundance has opened an incredible opportunity – they’re getting behind a ‘digital re-release’ of the film which will get SLEEP DEALER out to more channels than it’s ever been on: NetFlix, Hulu, Itunes, Amazon, etc. Finally, this film will be really accessible to a big audience.
But to make the film stand out from all the digital clutter, we need to support its release.
We need help to make a new trailer, get press, make new art – in short: WE NEED TO MAKE SOME NOISE TO SUPPORT SLEEP DEALER’S RE-RELEASE.
With your help, we can get this film out to new audiences, do it right and do it big this time. Thanks so much, Alex Rivera
