My problem is with the designers – the ones responsible for the long, crappy history of Flash design. Flash design was by and large unsustainable, and it made the web a more broken and fragmented place. For years, designers felt that Flash freed them from the constraints of the web, and let them be more “creative.” It may have been so for them (though I suspect they just wanted to stay in their comfort zone), but their creativity was bad for the rest of us.
