I think of Daniel Faraday from LOST every time I see this name on the Discovery building at ASU.
According to Wikipedia, the real Faraday—Michael Faraday—was a chemist and physicist who “discovered benzene, investigated the clathrate hydrate of chlorine, invented an early form of the Bunsen burner and the system of oxidation numbers, and popularized terminology such as anode, cathode, electrode, and ion.”
I wonder if any other LOST names are on the building? Maybe Locke. I haven’t noticed.
