Chinese artist, philosopher, architect, photographer, and one of the Chinese Government’s most prominent internal critics, Ai Weiwei, has been arrested today. This is not Ai’s first arrest; he was placed under house arrest in November 2010 to prevent a protest of the demolition of his newly built Shanghai studio by the Chinese Police.
