If you try and play Dear Esther like you play a standard FPS -you run as fast as you can from cover to cover and try and click things- you’re going to have a really really poor experience. If you play it very slowly and you spend time stopping and looking at things and really listening to the story, the more you put into it in that way, the more you get out.
