Can you believe it? Hopscotch first hit the App Store exactly one year ago today. Wow, time really flies when you’re having fun coding!
It’s been an amazing year. Our team has grown to include some really talented people, and Hopscotch has become so much more robust than what we started with a year ago.
One year ago, it was just Sam and Jocelyn sharing a desk, scrambling to talk to reporters ahead of our launch at the All Things D Dive Into Mobile conference in NYC. “We were nervous that no one would understand how to use our new programming language. We didn’t have scaling, collision detection, or variables, not to mention our community! Can you imagine?” recalls Jocelyn.
Nowadays Hopscotch is live and thriving, with thousands of happy kids, teachers, and parents in countries all over the world. We’re so thankful for all of the Hopscotchers that continue to fill our community with creative coding ideas. The coming year will bring more exciting improvements that we know you’ll love!
