Gaming: A Dominant Force In Entertainment, What’s Next?

The entertainment software industry has grown roughly 1300% since the year 2000. Gaming is beginning to push boundaries in other fields outside of entertainment such as social networking, health, education, and even science. In this rapidly changing industry, what does the future hold? We’re very excited to bring experienced gaming professionals to BDA on Friday, May 20th for a FREE panel discussing the future role of video games in the entertainment industry. Panelists will discuss their history in the industry as well as rising trends and new applications for gaming.

Special Guest Panelists include:

Rafael Fajardo teaches at the University of Denver in Electronic Media Art & Design, and Digital Media Studies. Through his collaborative, SWEAT, Fajardo has published two video games that comment on the game-like nature of (il)legal human traffic at the US/Mexico border.

Nathan Madsen is the founder of Madsen Studios, and a professional Composer-Sound Designer, who has supported 140 projects in the video game, anime, webdesign and indie film markets.

More panelists to be announced soon!
