Spaceteam is my new favorite party game! I’m all about synchronous multiplayer these days, and Spaceteam is chock full of that social dynamic stuff that makes that whole genre so interesting. But more importantly, it’s a game about YELLING and SPACE.
The premise is simple. Two to four players control the panels of a spaceship, but not everyone has the same dials, knobs, and levers. Players have to shout complex directions at each other to try to keep their vessel afloat. Er, Aspaced. Anyway, it’s free on iOS, and if my recommendation weren’t enough, it’s up for a Nuovo at this year’s Independent Game Festival. Could there be a better way to spend this blustery weekend than urging your loved ones to toggle the hydrocore?
