I watched Objectified (Hustwit, Director) the other day and experienced an overwhelming sense of sadness when Bill’s section came on. Bill passed away very recently. I only had a chance to meet him on two occasions, and each was a privilege. I had so looked forward to getting to know him better. We are diminished by his passing. This link is a gift he gave us all, while still very much with life, with the publishing of his last book. Paired with his other book, Designing Interactions, he has given us a kind of oral history of the recent technological past. So that we can remember, and learn from it, and move forward.
