The French electronic duo, Daft Punk, have announced that they will be making several in-person appearances for Tron – the Disney film they produced the soundtrack for – with the soundtrack for the movie coming out in November. They’ll be playing live sets at film screenings in major cities, and might be at the Hollywood premiere for the film. On top of these Tron appearances, Daft Punk is rumored to be designing a national stadium headlining tour for 2011/12.
The Daily Swarm spoke to the Managing Partner and Head of Music of Creative Artists Agency, the agency that represents Daft Punk, and he was quoted saying, “the film soundtrack and tour will lead a dance music juggernaut worldwide. This is going to be the biggest tour of next year.”
So, Ultra Music Festival remains in Miami and is extended to three days, AND Daft Punk will tour in 2011? Anyone
