Being connected to everyone, all the time, is a new human experience; we’re just not equipped to cope with it yet.
Jacob Burak, Can we break free from the fear of missing out?
Great quote, although I disagree with a lot of the Sherry Turkle and Robin Dunbar psychobabble. Being connected online does not cheapen our experience of ‘life’: it is life.
These claims are something like non-scientists who exclude human beings from ‘nature’ and ‘animals’, forgetting that we are animals and that what we do is as natural as ants digging in the earth or butterflies migrating.
But I agree that we haven’t learned all the skills we might for dealing with an always-on connected life. We will though.
