\nTenure-Track Assistant Professor, Digital Humanities<\/p>\n
The Faculty of Creative and Critical Studies at the University of British
\nColumbia\u2019s Okanagan campus invites applications for a tenure-track
\nposition in the interdisciplinary field of Digital Humanities. The
\nappointment will be at the level of Assistant Professor and will begin on
\nJuly 1, 2012.<\/p>\n
The position will include responsibility for the creation and teaching of
\nintroductory, upper-level undergraduate, and graduate courses that are
\ninterdisciplinary and intersect with the program areas represented in the
\nFaculty of Creative and Critical Studies. Areas of intersection with Digital
\nHumanities would be one or more of the following: Art History and Visual
\nCulture, Languages and Literature (French, German, Japanese, English,
\nSpanish), Interdisciplinary Performance, Visual Art, Creative Writing, and
\nCultural Studies. Our goal is to expand the programs and increase
\ninterdisciplinary research and teaching through the expertise of a Digital
\nHumanities scholar. Teacher-researchers whose focus is on intersectional
\ncreative and critical approaches to the arts and humanities through digital
\ntechnology are especially encouraged to apply. For a full list of our

\nThe successful candidate will have an active scholarly profile (which
\nincludes creative, practice-based research), and evidence of teaching
\nexperiencethat employs Interdisciplinary Digital Humanities approaches and
\nscholarship. The successful candidate will be expected to conduct and
\ndisseminate research in his\/her area of specialization and to engage with
\nthe interdisciplinary nature of the Faculty of Creative and Critical
