(\u201cWhat does one semester on campus look like?\u201d prompts Duke\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/admissions.duke.edu\/\">admissions website<\/a>. \u201cFollow <a href=\"https:\/\/instagram.com\/DukeStudents\/\">@DukeStudents<\/a> on Instagram.\u201d)<\/p>\n<p>But Barnett soon realized that if he clicked on an Instagram <a href=\"https:\/\/help.instagram.com\/375744095836923\">photo\u2019s geotagged location<\/a>, he would be able to see all of the pictures tagged in that specific area \u2014 which means he\u2019d see images taken by actual students.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI definitely went through a bunch of people\u2019s Instagrams just to see what the life of an average student was,\u201d he says. \u201cIt\u2019s like having a tour of the school by a real student who isn\u2019t paid to show you the school and tell you the things the admissions office wants you to hear.
