Many a woman\u2019s <strong>experience<\/strong> is that they\u2019ve been deliberately excluded from the industry and treated as sex objects. Turns out humanity has a nasty history of excluding each other from things, whether it was last week\u2019s party, the right to vote, or the ability to <em>not<\/em> be a slave and live as a human being. Maybe there\u2019s something to what they\u2019re saying.<\/p>\n<p>Women want to play games with us, feel as empowered as we do, and have a great time. That sounds pretty awesome, hey? More people to play with and everyone gets to have a good time.<\/p>\n<p>If you are genuinely <em>not<\/em> here to harass women into shutting up or killing themselves, if you\u2019re <em>actually<\/em> here for \u201cethics in video game journalism\u201d but you want opinions and \u201cagenda\u201d and politics out of video games, you have two options:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Find the details section on Wikipedia that explains the game\u2019s name, plot, system requirements, and number co-op players, then stop after that. There\u2019s your objectivity devoid of such burdensome things like \u2018opinions\u2019 and \u2018politics\u2019.<\/li>\n<li>Find publications that write about the things you care about.
