The DLC integrates street art by several international<br \/>\nartists into the game, images that offer \u201creflections on the human<br \/>\ncondition and the state of humanity during a time of war.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>Although <i>This War of Mine<\/i> is based partly on the Siege<br \/>\nof Sarajevo, the harrowing scenarios and difficult moral choices it<br \/>\npresents are intended to depict the experience of survivors of war<br \/>\nacross the globe rather than any specific country or conflict.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;When war breaks out, what matters is what kind of human you are, and how you survive,&rdquo; senior writer Pawel Miechowski <a href=\"http:\/\/gamasutra.com\/view\/news\/237940\/The_secrets_behind_This_War_of_Mines_emotional_impact.php\">told Gamasutra<\/a>. \u201cI presented this game to people from both Palestine and Israel, and for both sides, it was a game about them.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>You play as multiple survivors in a ramshackle house, hiding from<br \/>\nsnipers and trying to scrounge up enough food and resources to survive.<br \/>\nAt night, you creep out into the larger, fictional city of Pogoren,<br \/>\nwhere you can loot empty houses or steal from other survivors\u2014by force,<br \/>\nif you choose. It can be a startling and often upsetting experience,<br \/>\nespecially when you are thrust into the game with no tutorial and no<br \/>\noption to restore your game if things go awry, or even start more than<br \/>\none game at the same time.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;In reality you cannot live two lives at once,&rdquo; art director Przemek Marszal <a href=\"http:\/\/www.slate.com\/articles\/arts\/gaming\/2015\/02\/siege_survival_video_game_this_war_of_mine_reviewed.2.html\">explained<\/a>. \u201cIn <i>This War of Mine<\/i><br \/>\n there is no tutorial, because when war breaks out, there is no tutorial<br \/>\n of people telling you what do to survive and save your family.
