We were given the choice of theming our month for <strong>Teen Tech Week<\/strong>, <strong>Summer Reading Program<\/strong>, or <strong>Teen Read Week<\/strong> (yeah, I know they are weeks, but we were asked to prolong them to a month by our professor). My team was pretty indifferent about what theme to chose, but I told them that I thought we should do <strong>Teen Tech Week<\/strong>. You may ask, because they certainly did, why I could chose <strong>Teen Tech Week<\/strong> \u2026 well, because of gaming! So many libraries are incorporating gaming into their programs and even materials now. The <strong>Tuscaloosa Public Library<\/strong>\u00a0have \u201c<em>Wii for All<\/em>\u201d and \u201c<em>Teen Gaming Night<\/em>\u201d programs multiple times a month now. I love games and I know that young people love games. And, for me at least, games are just another form of storytelling. My classmates and I had a meeting last week about our project and one of the ladies (yes, we are all ladies who are interested in games!) told us about <strong>National Gaming Day<\/strong>. I had no idea such a thing existed, but I am so happy that it does. It\u2019s even <strong>ALA<\/strong> certified, which is awesome!
