Ryan Hol\u00adi\u00adday\u2019s advice to young careerists is cyn\u00adi\u00adcal and pragmatic.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>The point isn\u2019t just to prove that you\u2019re capa\u00adble, but also that you\u2019re sane. In fact, if you had to pick between the two, being well-adjusted the bet\u00adter one. You can teach peo\u00adple how to do things. You can\u2019t make them nor\u00admal. In other words, leave your crazy at home.<\/p>\n<p>Have an exit strat\u00adegy. Know how this all fits into your grand strat\u00adegy, this is the Start-Up of You. But also have the eas\u00adily explain\u00adable, non-threatening goal that you tell peo\u00adple so you can maneu\u00adver in peace. If you\u2019re work\u00ading at a man\u00adage\u00adment com\u00adpany, don\u2019t tell every\u00adone your goal is to be a stand up come\u00addian. The grand strat\u00adegy is just for you.<\/p>\n<p> Most impor\u00adtantly, remem\u00adber that you are not spe\u00adcial. There were a mil\u00adlion other kids on this path before you and there will be another mil\u00adlion after.
