Mr. Jagger, of the Rolling Stones, has the grace to admit his debt, saying he tried \u201cto steal everything I could possibly do.\u201d But he also uses the occasion to correct a legend about \u201cThe T.A.M.I. Show,\u201d a performance feature film shot in 1964, when the Stones followed Brown and were upstaged by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=vruy2GRUsV8\">his electrifying performance<\/a>. Michael Veal, a musician and author, says he heard that while Brown blew up the room, Mr. Jagger stood watching on the side of the stage, \u201cjust being devastated and traumatized.\u201d [\u2026] Mr. Jagger says that although Brown did indeed \u201ckill,\u201d the concert was filmed as a movie, which was heavily cut and edited, and that the Stones\u2019 performance was filmed hours later with a different audience.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/tumblr.austinkleon.com\/post\/93400894206\">The T.A.M.I performance<\/a> is worth watching in full, as it\u2019s probably one of the greatest musical performances ever captured on film.
