Today\u2019s Pic, taken from that show, is titled \u201cSolid Light\u201d, and is a 1973 study for a landmark light projection called \u201cLine Describing a Cone\u201d.<br \/>\n What the study makes clear is that we don\u2019t need scare quotes around<br \/>\nthe idea that McCall draws with light; the relationship between the<br \/>\nforms he puts down on paper, and the ones he projects into fog, is as<br \/>\nclose as can be.
