3D Gif
Webtoy by Vince McKelvie which can take any GIF online and place it onto a morphing 3D object in your browser:
3dGif dynamically maps gifs and images onto 3d mesh. Paste an image url into the text input box, press “gO!“ and your image will transform into an amorphous 3d animation. It’s built using three.js and with some help from Tim B.
3dGif is actually a prototype piece for a bigger project but it turned out too nice not to share.
I asked Vince who his favourite GIF artist’s on Tumblr are, and above are examples from Sickfish [example], Kidmograph [example], Max Labor [example], and wmill [example].
